President Obama declared Albany, Clinton, Delaware, Dutches, Essex, Greene, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Suffolk, Sullivan, Ulster, and Westchester Counties Disaster Zones eligible for residential and business FEMA relief.
Funding for temporary housing, repairs, and low cost loans are available. State and some local governments, private non-profits in 19 counties are also eligible.
As winter 2011 unfolds we in the Northeast are experiencing hazardous commutes, shut down businesses, government and schools. Consider the amazing movement the Federal government is making towards a sustainable workforce, green commute and weather proof service. Last December President Obama signed into law the Telework Act of 2010.
