new york state climate change action plan interim report

The New York State Climate Action Plan Interim Report is now available for public review and comment.

Governor David A. Paterson set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in New York State by 80 percent by 2050. Using 1990 as the base we better get hopping! Or bike riding, and walking and co-commuting, and..   New York State Climate Action Council have been tasked with identifing actions that can achieve that goal, adapt New York
to the effects of unavoidable climate change and stimulate the growth of a clean energy economy.

Well worth reviewing (and commenting on either at one of the public hearings to be held in early 2011, or by submission.) the Interim Report is another great document.
The 90-day public comment period ends February 7, 2011 so check it out now

Look for the Council to present a final Climate Action Plan in 2011.
