The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) requests proposals for providing planning assistance and implementation services (a “Program Implementer”) for the New York Products Program (“Products Program”) to increase the availability, promotion, and market share of ENERGY STAR® and other energy-efficient products for residential customers. The Products Program has previously supported a wide variety of energy-efficient residential products, including, but not limited to: clothes washers, dishwashers, refrigerators, room air conditioners, room air cleaners, dehumidifiers, through-the-wall air conditioners, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and lamps (light bulbs) and luminaries (fixtures). The Products Program includes NYSERDA’s Point-of-Sale Lighting Initiative, which seeks to specifically promote ENERGY STAR light-emitting-diodes (LEDs) and other energy-efficient lighting products.
