Mamaroneck's Winter Down to Earth Farmers Market

Mamaroneck's Winter Down to Earth Farmers Market

Down to Earth Markets bring together two kinds of vendors: local farmers and area food makers who source locally. By incorporating qualified producers into our markets, we expand upon the traditional farmers market. More local food entrepreneurs find a venue to sell their products directly to shoppers. In turn, shoppers benefit by discovering a greater offering of local foods at the markets. Best yet, regional agriculture thrives, as more businesses source from area farms.

MHREDC Sustainability Plan

MHREDC Sustainability Plan

Final Mid-Hudson Sustainability Plan - Official Public Release Dear all: First, thank you for patiently waiting for the official release of the Final Mid-Hudson Regional Sustainability Plan. The Governor announced the release of the Plan earlier today – his press release can be found at http://www.governor.ny.gov/. You can find the Final Plan on the websites of Orange County and the Town of Greenburgh. NYSERDA has also posted all of the plans produced statewide: http://www.nyserda.ny.gov/About/Cleaner-Greener-Communities/Regional-Sustainability-Plans.aspx. We have also uploaded the Plan to Basecamp in multiple formats: 1. The Executive Summary – this is available as a full size PDF as well as in a Compressed, email-able version 2. The Final Plan – this is available in a ‘spreads’ layout ideal for viewing on a computer as well as in an easily printable single-page view with and without appendices 3. The Final Plan Chapters – each chapter including front and back matter is available as an individual PDF 4. The Final Plan Appendices – each appendix is available as an individual PDF 5. The Final Plan Attachments – the three attachments are provided in a .zip file We have removed older outdated versions of the Plan from Basecamp to avoid confusion. The Final version of the Plan is dated May – 2013, which is when it was delivered to NYSERDA as final. We appreciate the opportunity to work with such a passionate and committed group of volunteers and thank you for your time and effort. We also thank the Consortium and Working Group Chairs for their leadership during the planning process. We sincerely hope that this Plan and the associated planning process will help spur the transition to a sustainable Mid-Hudson Region. With kind regards, Michael Wironen
